John Byrd

John Byrd has been with Mansfield Energy Corp since 2005. During his tenure, he has served as the company's chief financial officer, chief operating officer, and currently serves as president of Mansfield Energy Corp. 

In his current role, Byrd oversees all of Mansfield’s operating entities, including Mansfield Oil Company, an asset-light energy distribution and logistics company; Mansfield Service Partners, an asset-intensive roll-up of large state and regional fuel and lubricant distribution companies; and Mansfield Power & Gas, a natural gas company specializing in producer services, wholesale trading, and retail distribution. 

Prior to joining Mansfield, Byrd served as senior vice president of accounting and administration and corporate controller of TransMontaigne, a Fortune 200 company operating in the terminal, pipeline, and energy trading sectors. In that role, he was responsible for risk management, operational accounting, and corporate financial accounting. 

Byrd started his career at Arthur Andersen in their audit practice. During that time, he worked with upstream and midstream energy clients and participated in several initial public offerings (IPO’s). After a few years in audit, he transferred into Andersen’s business process outsourcing (BPO) practice where he focused on outsourcing transitions and consulting with energy trading companies on process improvement engagements. 

Byrd graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
