Elizabeth Ahmed

​​Headshot of Elizabeth Ahmed, LSU Foundation National Board Member.Elizabeth Janiszewski Ahmed has over 25 years of experience in project management and construction management (PM/CM) programs, architecture, design, real estate, management, operations and market sector integration. 

As an executive, she managed over 60 professionals working on PM/CM projects totaling more than $28 billion. As vice president at AECOM, Ahmed was the PM/CM Market Sectors Lead - Americas, responsible for overall strategy growth in social infrastructure, which consists of education, healthcare, national governments and private sectors. 

Previously, she was responsible for managing more than $1.5 billion in real estate assets in Southern California. Outside North America, her PM/CM experience includes work in Japan, India, and Southeast Asia valued at more than $1 billion. 

Ahmed is LEED AP Certified and received her MBA from Pepperdine University, the Business Development Program/European Union from the University of Antwerp, and the Global Management Programme from University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. She is an LSU Tiger, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University. Geaux Tigers! 

Currently residing in Southern California with her family. More than a decade ago, she and her husband co-founded Afya Global, an AI-driven healthcare company where she currently serves as the chief financial officers. The couple’s two children attend college on opposite coasts. 

She and her husband are involved in numerous philanthropic projects.
