Andy McCullough

​​Headshot of Andy McCullough, LSU Foundation National Board Member.Dr. Andy McCullough, a respected New York City cardiologist and internist, is one of the most sought-after physicians in New York City. He has earned a strong reputation for his unwavering commitment to delivering compassionate, personalized care and has consecutively been recognized as a Top Doctor by New York Magazine for years, and in his current practice, provides care exclusively to only 50 families. 

After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University, he earned his Doctor of Medicine from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where he graduated top of his class with multiple honors, including being elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School) and his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Mount Sinai, where he rose to the rank of chief fellow. 

Following his fellowship, Dr. McCullough served as an assistant attending physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital and an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. He also has devoted much of his time to research activities, as well as the education and mentorship of future physicians. Over the years, Dr. McCullough has been repeatedly recognized for his teaching and leadership roles, including multiple leadership roles in the American College of Cardiology. 

His clinical interests and expertise predominantly include preventative cardiovascular health and coronary artery and valvular disease assessment. The connecting thread throughout his career has been a devotion to comprehensive patient care in internal medicine and non-invasive cardiology. Dr. McCullough is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and is a fellow of The American College of Cardiology. 

He lives in Manhattan with his wife and two wonderful daughters, who are the light of his life.
