My LSU

Why did you choose to build a career with the LSU Foundation?
I chose to build a career with the LSU Foundation because it allows me to combine relationship-building with purpose-driven work. With a background in business and a personal passion for animal welfare and fostering, I’ve always been drawn to roles where people and mission intersect — and LSU Vet Med embodies both. Being part of an organization that advances veterinary medicine, supports students, and serves families during vulnerable moments is deeply meaningful to me. It’s rewarding to help donors see how their generosity creates tangible impact for both patients and the people who love them.

What does a typical day look like for you?
No two days are the same, but each one centers around connection. A typical day may include outreach to grateful clients, meetings with industry partners, planning sponsorship opportunities, or sharing LSU Vet Med news with alumni and donors. I spend much of my time listening — learning what matters most to our supporters and finding thoughtful ways to align their passions with meaningful opportunities at Vet Med. At its core, my work is about building relationships that strengthen our mission.

Tell us about your favorite work win or moment when you truly felt the impact of your work.
One of my most meaningful moments was meeting with a grateful client after the loss of her pet. During our conversation, she shared how much our team’s compassion and dedication meant to her during such a difficult time. She ultimately chose to support a fund that helps families who may not otherwise be able to afford care. Watching her turn gratitude for her pet’s care into support for other families was a powerful reminder of why this work matters. It was a reminder that our work extends beyond medicine — it creates lasting impact for both pets and the people who love them.

Where is your favorite place on campus?
One of my favorite places on campus is the area designated for our blood donor cats at LSU Vet Med. These rescue cats live on site for several years and provide healthy blood donations to help save other cats in need. I love this space not only because of the vital role they play in patient care, but because on especially long days, they offer a quiet moment of affection and perspective. They are a tangible reminder of the life-saving impact happening here every day.
