She became familiar with philanthropy at LSU when she served as a student worker in the Foundation’s call center, where she ultimately became a supervisor.

MY LSU

Why did you choose to build a career with the LSU Foundation?
I chose to build a career here because not only would I be in a position to help my alma mater and home state, but also, I felt an instant connection with everyone on the MarCom team when I was going through the interview process. I felt respected and supported before I even signed my offer letter. Also, the view of Tiger Stadium never gets old.

What does a typical day look like for you?
I come in, say hello to Ms. Debra, make coffee on the third floor with a colleague, and then start my day! I typically go through my emails and my tasks on Monday.com before I line out what I need to accomplish by the end of the week. Who knows what will come up throughout the day, though? Being flexible is the name of the game.

Tell us about your favorite work win or moment when you truly felt the impact of your work.
Giving Day 2022 happened within just a few months of my starting at the Foundation. It was so awesome to see the donor and dollar count climb throughout the day. The MarCom team showed collaboration, understanding, and patience as we navigated the day together. Campus communicators, alumni, students, faculty, staff, etc., all played a crucial role in helping all of us here at the LSU Foundation execute a successful Giving Day.

Where is your favorite place on campus?
The Dairy Store. Having a bad day? Celebrating something? Passed a test? Failed a test? Need a break from your desk? The Dairy Store is always the answer. I can’t wait to visit the new Dairy Store when the Interdisciplinary Science Building opens!
