My LSU
Why did you choose to build a career with the LSU Foundation?
Years ago, one of my sisters suggested I look at the LSU Foundation if I ever wanted
to switch career paths. Fast forward to April 2025, I found myself with the opportunity
to pivot from what I was doing, and I remembered what my sister said. I was at a point
professionally where I needed a new challenge to refresh me, and the director of industry
sponsorships position appealed to me.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Some days I may have meetings with the different deans or faculty around campus. Other
days I’ll be in my office working on projects that will advance our industry engagement
efforts. Ultimately, I am here to help LSU achieve its goal of being a top 50 research
university impacting the lives of students, the local community and the world; so,
if my day has any of that in it, it will be a great one.
Tell us about your favorite work win or moment when you truly felt the impact of your
work.
I enjoy telling friends, family, and people I meet about my work at the LSU Foundation.
Many people aren’t familiar with what the LSU Foundation does, so I like sharing what
I’ve learned since joining the team. One of the most impactful things I’ve seen is
how our team consistently celebrates wins together and supports one another along
the way.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
I have fond memories of Dodson Hall where I spent summers for over a decade as a staff
member for Louisiana Boys State leadership program. There were many great moments
of debate, laughter, and passion exhibited there. It was very rewarding.
