When LSU alumnae Diane Goyette and Judy Gibbs first connected, they were two strangers meeting over a shared philanthropic interest, and yet both had unknowingly been walking parallel paths toward the same mission.
In 2022, FMOL Health Our Lady of the Lake, LSU’s Championship Health Partner, made a landmark investment in LSU—$170 million. That investment launched the Collaboration in Action research program to solve health challenges in critical areas for people in Louisiana, including cardiovascular disease, cancer care, trauma and neuroscience, chronic respiratory disease, medical data science, and sports medicine and performance.
At LSU, education extends far beyond the walls of the classroom. The Lagniappe Internship Fund provides students with extra financial support to take their learning to the next level, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world experience. The fund empowers Tigers to say “yes” to meaningful, hands-on opportunities that challenge them, expand their skills, and shape their future careers.
