In Memory of Dr. C.N. Reddy
(June 1, 1947–January 13, 2026)
Dr. C.N. Reddy (Narasimha Reddy Chandamuri) earned his PhD in Soil and Environmental
Chemistry in the College of Agriculture at Louisiana State University, beginning his
studies in January 1974.
During these formative years, Dr. Reddy was deeply influenced by Dr. William “Bill” Patrick, a Boyd Professor at LSU. Dr. Patrick was a sponsor and advisor, and much more — he also became a trusted mentor and dear friend to Dr. Reddy, who often credited Dr. Patrick with shaping his professional success over a multi-decade career in Environmental Sciences.
In recognition of this enduring relationship, and upon Dr. Reddy’s passing, his family has established a scholarship honoring both men’s shared legacy and commitment to education: The Dr. C.N. Reddy and Dr. William Patrick Scholarship at the LSU College of Agriculture.
Gifts made in Dr. Reddy’s memory will support this scholarship and help carry forward both men’s dedication to learning. All contributions will be matched by the family’s foundation.

The LSU Foundation will work with Dr. Reddy's family to establish the purpose of tribute funds contributed through this effort. His family will also represent all donors for any needed revision to the purpose of the fund.
The LSU Foundation will share notices about memorial gifts with Dr. Reddy's family. We do not share the gift amount unless a donor explicitly gives us permission to do so.
