What extracurricular programs are you involved in?
So far, I have joined QROMA, which is a club for students who identify as a LGBTQ+ person of color. Being connected with my community has made me feel less alone, and it provides a great support system here on campus.

How have you used, or how do you intend to use your Stamps Scholar enrichment funds?
I plan to use my Stamps Scholar enrichment funds to attend foreign film festivals and go to foreign countries in general. In doing so, I will broaden my film scope, which is important to my career, but I will also expand my understanding of other cultures and build upon my character personally.

What are your future career aspirations?
There are not many black women who advance in my field behind the camera, especially in editing. While progress has definitely been made, it is still a majorly white male-dominated field. My career doesn’t have to be the most prolific one, but I hope to be visible enough to be the representation I sorely needed when I was younger.

What would you say to the donors of LSU, specifically the Stamps Scholarship Program?
To the donors of LSU and the Stamps Scholarship Program, thank you for putting your faith in me and giving me access to opportunities I would have never had.

Tell me about a fellow Stamps Scholar or an Honors College faculty or staff member who has made a difference during your time here at LSU.
Ever since Scholars Weekend, fellow Stamps Scholar Taylor Goss has given me a complete understanding of the program and addressed any of my concerns with ease. He is a model for what it means to be a Stamps Scholar.
