Don Welge Receives LSU Foundation Membership Certificate

Jeff McLain, vice president for development for the LSU Foundation, presents to Don Welge his LSU Foundation membership certificate. Welge, of Chester, Ill., is perhaps most recognized for his chain of donut shops, Mary Lee Donuts. He graduated in 1957 with a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics and is a major benefactor of the Department of Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness. In 2012, he was inducted into the LSU Alumni Association Hall of Distinction and his company, Gilster-Mary Lee Corporation, was included in the LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses.
