Azaleas are popular ornamental bushes throughout Louisiana, and LSU is no exception. The plants border much of the campus and are interspersed among and within the landscapes surrounding many of the more than 250 buildings. They bloom radiantly in shades of pink and white during the area’s mild springtime weather.
LSU’s azaleas are a favored backdrop for Tigers taking photos on campus and a lovely complement to the university’s rich flora and fauna.
The 2014 ornament captures LSU’s beloved azaleas in full bloom, preserving their short-lived springtime beauty for enjoyment throughout the holiday season.
