The LSU Foundation, Louisiana State University, the LSU Alumni Association and the Tiger Athletic Foundation, because of their common mission of raising support for LSU, maintain a joint database of alumni and donor records to maximize efficiency and provide service to our donors.  This database is private and access is strictly controlled to development and administrative staff of these institutions only.   

Information Collection

The LSU Foundation collects information from public sources, postal records and gift processing to continuously update and manage our shared database.  Information provided by donors to LSU, the LSU Foundation, the LSU Alumni Association and the Tiger Athletic Foundation is also available to us in the database.
 
Information Sharing

The LSU Foundation shares information, through its database, with Louisiana State University, the LSU Alumni Association and the Tiger Athletic Foundation only.

The LSU Foundation will not sell or share information to an entity unaffiliated with LSU for the purposes of commercial or political solicitation under any circumstance.

The LSU Foundation respects requests for anonymity, and will not publicize donors or contributions that wish to remain anonymous.
 
Names and addresses of scholarship or professorship donors are provided, upon request, to student and faculty recipients who wish to thank these donors for their support.
 
The LSU Foundation is a private foundation and, as such, is not subject to the same information disclosure requirements as LSU, which is a state entity.  However, the LSU Foundation will respond to legal requests for information.
 
The LSU Foundation goes to great lengths to ensure the security of our records from unauthorized access.  The LSU Foundation uses the latest technologies in record-keeping security to ensure the privacy of your information.
